To join a challenge, you must pay a one time entry fee of 100 NP per hour per game.

This tells you that you entered the competition and the new area provides a link to your game. When you click on the link, it will lead you to that game page and you see this petpet below the game information:

You are allowed to send as many scores as you want but keep in mind that after three scores sent for NP, your highscore will not be updated. When you send your score, Neopets will automatically choose a random opponent who has sent a score and you will be awarded either a win, loss, or a tie.

After you are awarded a win, loss, or a tie, it will be converted into tally points. A win is †1, loss is -1, and a tie is 0. For
example: You won 3 times, loss 1 time, and tied 2 times, your tally points will be 2.

The Challenge Outcome table shows you and your opponent the rank, usernames, tally points, wins, losses, number of scores sent, neopoints awarded, hour’s highscore, and your score total for the hour.

There are three ways to win a map piece. Once you are in the top elible place to win a prize, you can win a map piece in either highest tally points, highest score sent in that hour, and the highest total of scores in that hour.

There MUST be 5 players with their scores processed before the map pieces are awarded. If there are not 5 people, the result of that hour will be moved to the next hour until there are 5 players. Your tally MUST be 0 or greater, if it is not, you will not receive a map piece even if you have the highest total of scores. Lastly, you must place in the top eligble place to win the map piece. This will change depending on how many players are there.

After the hour is over, you will receive a neomail by TNT confirming that you have won. If you do not receive a neomail and believe you were in elible spot, go to that games Previous Hour’s Result and check and if there is not a * after your name, I am sorry but someone must’ve knocked you off the last second.

You can keep it in your Map Gallery and wait until you have all the pieces to convert it into a prize or you can also sell the map pieces in your shops or trades. Click on the link in the red box in the picture above and now you are able to move the map pieces into or out of the gallery or even convert it.

Once you collected all map pieces (either by winning or buying it), you may convert it into a RARE prize and 2,000 NP. Once you convert the map pieces, you CANNOT take the pieces out and resell them and you cannot win another map piece from that set and you will move on to set 2 of the map if you continue playing in that World.

Word Poker Game Guide

Monday, October 1st, 2007

Word Poker – You have 8 letters jumbled and you have to make as many words as possible within the time limit. Using the strategies I explained above, you might be finding words very easily now! The key strategy with word poker is
to decide which score you are going to use.

There is a score for
3 letter words – 4 pts per word
4 letter words – 6 pts per word
5 letter words – 8 pts per word
Full House – ( 15 words = 50 pts, 25 words = 150 pts )
Flush – 10 pts for every word you make with a particular starting letter
Wild – The more words the more pts
A word 7 letters or more – Bonus 50 pts

You need to remember that you can only choose a score once and the game will end once you have chosen all the scores. The best way to get high scores is to get as many bonus words as possible, but this relies on the luck of the letters, the better the letters, the better the score you can get.

Whack-A-Staff-Member

Monday, October 1st, 2007

When playing Whack-A-Staff-Member typing the word a5paragu5 in the game AFTER any round begins, will give you a bigger mallet to work with for one Level. It might help your game to save this code for more difficult rounds, although just know that the larger mallet works better on a fullsize screen.

Whack Kass Game Guide

Monday, October 1st, 2007

Tip #1 Always wait until windspeed is at 9.
ALWAYS. I don’t care if it takes a few minutes. I don’t care if it takes thirty minutes – just wait for that windspeed to hit 9. Usually the speed increases by two, so if it starts out at an odd number, and especially if it starts out high, like 5 or 7, your chances of hitting 9 are higher. If it’s at 8, it can only go to 7 or 6, and if it goes to 7, there’s the chance it’ll become 9. This might be a little confusing, but when you’re playing, just keep
in mind that your magic number in this game is NINE.

Immediately after whacking Kass, either press down the spacebar or re-click and hold down the left click
mouse button. Both have the same result, so just do whatever you feel more comfortable with. Your airborn Kass will keep his wings tucked in during flight, so that all his silly flapping won’t interfere with your flight on the way up.

here’s what to do
When you see your Kass falling towards the ground from his long flight, get ready to click/tap the spacebar. As soon as you hear him bounce, click/tap and hold down for about a second the first time, or for however long it takes him to reach his “peak”, which is very small and quick. After this first bounce, he may bounce even more

Tip #2 Whack Kass at the Oppurtune Moment.
Through experience, I’ve found that hitting the Kass when it’s at your Blumaroo’s ears is about the perfect height. Not only does your bat connect wonderfully with the poor puppet, the higher elevation also gives you more air time, allowing the Kass to travel further. This, however, is easier said than done. It does take some practice and concentration, but you should get the hang of it in no time.

Tip #3 Spacebar/Left Click
Keep your spacebar/mouse pressed down until the Kass reaches his peak. Then, LET GO once he starts to descend, allowing him to flap away This strategy will guarantee your Kass to fly much, much further.

Tip #3.5: You’re Not Finished Yet
After a satisfyingly loud thwack, the perfect use of the spacebar/mouse technique and a beautiful, long descent, you’d think your username was up on that high-score list, right? Well…not exactly. See…the Kass puppet is like a sort of ugly tennis ball. It’s bouncy. And bouncy mean it’ll go back in the air. And don’t relax – instead, use your good judgement to decide when to click and when to let go. Usually, the bouncing airtime doesn’t even exceed a few seconds.

Bounces, seemingly innocent and little, actually wind up helping your Kass go a lot further in the long run.

Tip #4: Practice
Whack-A-Kass, to the normal person appears to be very straightforward – you grab a stick and hit the falling puppet. Nothing could be easier, right? But after reading this guide, you’ve probably come to realize that there are a few skills to master,a few tricks to keep in mind.
